Behind Every Good Man
is a good woman.
Men look at women vastly differently, and typically, the answer behind their gaze lies in the alignment of their priorities. People think that a man’s most valuable investment is their career, status, respect, social acceptance, authority, money, physique, masculinity, or something else within that realm - it’s not. The most precious investment to any man will always be the woman they go home to. It is this woman who becomes an extension of him and is a walking representation of the man he wants to be - especially for others to see. In optimal cases, his decision to choose her returns as a promise to stand by his side unconditionally. She vouches for him, protects him, and supports him no matter the audience. As long as those initial vows that created that bond continue to be met, they contribute to each other's success, image, and reputation. Alas if life were perfect everybody would have that in one way or another. Yet, there exists a gap when men make decisions about who they choose as a secondary thought. She either competes with another luxury that matters more, or even worse, she (or many shes) becomes the stepping stone to achieve it. Whether they admit it or not, men will place great devotion and attention to make sure that they never lose what matters most to them. To some that will be their success, and to others it will be the person they chose with great intention & admiration. As unfortunate as it is, the way they treat their woman is a testament to how much they value and frankly respect them. How they respond to your messages, kindness, and anger are indications for you to decide whether it's worth it or not. If they don’t find you the most beautiful in a room full of beauty, the smartest in a room full of wisdom, or even the most captivating in the loudest room, perhaps there lies an ulterior intention behind the choice they made. So, when you decide who the good man you stand behind is, I recommend you choose someone that almost makes it feel like they love you more than you love them. I've seen it all, and I promise that he’s the one who will crave you to stay even when you fail to recognize yourself.
